Efficient water irrigation management can be achieved by taking measures to establish consumption according to the needs of the garden. These measures consist of the design or delimitation of requirements zones and the use of an appropriate irrigation system.
The implementation of these measures allows for the design of an efficient garden in the use of water, not enough water however conflicts with the functionality for which it was is designed. Three zones can be considered in terms of water consumption: high, moderate and low, which will provide the necessary water for optimal development to each plant set and greatly facilitate irrigation management.
Types of irrigation:
Drip irrigation: It is an irrigation system used to provide water in a localized way at the foot of each plant. (Drip irrigation hose) It is the most economical in terms of water consumption, but its installation is the most expensive.
Sprinkler irrigation: This irrigation system is the one responsible for watering our garden areas. It is based on the application of water in the form of rain over the entire surface. To accomplish this, water is drawn under pressure through a pipe network all the way to the dispersing elements.
These types of garden irrigation, both the drip irrigation system and the sprinkler irrigation system,
need other elements in order to automate their irrigation tasks, such as solenoid valves and Irrigation
Irrigation electrovalves are devices that control water circulation through a series of electrical
impulses sent from the Irrigation Programming Device, the former will be in charge of the opening
and closing of the solenoid valves, according to the instructions we program in it.
LAWN IRRIGATION SYSTEM
Irrigation is essential for the lawn to remain beautiful, uniform and healthy. There are different
types of irrigation. As you can see in the following image, there is good irrigation in the area,
sprinklers are about 4in above surface and can cover the lawn area completely. In narrow spaces,
sprinklers should be closer to each other, this is because coverage is most essential in an
irrigation system and is vital for the lawn to have a good growth. When there is good watering
coverage, long time irrigation periods are not necessary.
